Golf Practicing

The other day I got roped into a vendor golf outing for work… the only problem is I wouldn’t call myself a golfer, maybe a good putt-putter, but not a golfer. So I went to the driving range today to brush up on my non-existent golf skills.

I started out with a bucket of balls and zero curse words. Seventy balls later and numerous words mutter…I finished with a bad blood pressure. Out of the 70, I had hit 30 of them over 25 yards and maybe 7 past 175 yards. That makes my stats? Awful. It also didn’t help there were some pros standing around hitting in the 200’s everytime and all I could do is smash and launch T’s.

Luckily, from what I hear, tomorrow will be full of bad golfers which is why the game is going to be played as “best ball.” Best ball sounds kinda cool because we will all play from where the best ball landed (out of our team of 4.) So when I hit it in the water or into a car windshield I won’t feel obligated to go find it.

While freeandflawed sent a helpful iphone application (iGolf) to allow me to practice at work, I am so far in the crapper here that I may be better off researching how to upgrade my glasses to show me more information:

Ofcourse the reality of it all, as depicted by CartoonRoom:
