Look!
…It’s a record player!
No!… It’s a CD player!
No!… It’s a recorder!
No!… It’s the Zero.1!

From Yankodesign’s website:

“Self-confessed retro lover is here to tell you about this remarkable find! Bringing a modern-day charm to the long-forgotten LP player is the Zero. 1. It’s a CD Player that can also play the vinyl records. What’s really unique is that a system has been incorporated where the device is able to “read” the gaps between the tracks, memorize them, and make it selectable, quite like how you would do with a CD.

The modern-day advantages include a CD system with an auto-recording feature that will hold a terabyte of memory. Files supported include MP3, MP4, WAV etc. It’s been originally designed for the Italian company Brionvega.

The remote control, me on the rocking chair and Genesis on the Zero. 1 and I am set for the moment!”

Now I just have to hope the Zero.1 makes it to the market. I wonder if it uses a laser or a needle to read the record? A laser would be awesome. Either way, auto recording and track-selecting on LP records would be pretty slick. Hey, it’s 2009! This is the type of technology we should expect for LP’s given how long we’ve been spinning em’!

Cheers towards Dance To The Radio for putting this on my radar.

Congratulations Mac on turning 25! I couldn’t think of a better product to be sharing the same age with, perhaps thats why we get along so well.

Cool Mercury News Article featuring a nifty graphic.

BBC Article Link with an INCREDIBLY stupid video that almost insults Apple, by comparing the original 1984 macintosh to a windows XP laptop and claiming the PC won! What shit, compare that piece of shit PC to a new mac laptop. Before you’d even see the XP start up screen the mac will be completely booted up. Secondly, we all know who advanced the graphical user-interface and played copycat! Insulting video BBC!

Speaking of videos, here are two favorites!
First it is the birth of Mac with the dazzling demonstration on how revolutionary Macintosh was for 1984. (Yes BBC, lets see Microsoft do this in 1984.)
Happy Birthday Macintosh, I’m glad you came out from the bag! :)

Oh yes, and let’s not forget about that stellar commercial either:

The latest addition to my equipment collection to provide me relief and escape from all the annoying election coverage which is hiding the interesting stories. (story 1, story 2)

This beauty is capable of 33, 45 and 78 rpm speeds. The 78 speed is the main reason I bought this unit so I can finally start listening to the 78’s I’ve acquired.

Teddy bears are generally known to convey warm feelings of affection. It’s even nicer when one can bring you a happy ending. As with family members getting elderly there have been times when we’ve had troubles with certain caretakers or cleaning crews. A teddy cam would have probably alleviated much of the stress and damage; in addition to future people getting hurt.

Time to find a bear-cam that roars.

A forensic science graduate and her father caught his terminally ill mother’s care assistant stealing by putting a camera in a teddy bear’s eye.

The toosie would be the highlight of the day on a heated seat! This is the cool royal throne… full of gadgets, bottom flushers, stereos, and a remote. Imagine having guests over and you freak them out when you flush the toilet on them… mwhahaz

Now the above is sweet, but this one below is starting to get a little obsessive. Not sure how I feel about the urine and blood pressure screening while I’m visiting the ‘jon. Some things are just not meant for the water closet.
