This past weekend I ventured northwest on Southwest for a weekend in the windy city. An absolutely fantastic time with some amazing food. The plane ticket alone merits the pizza experience; I’d easily get a pizza once a week if I lived within distance. The popcorn in that city is just as stunning - we had the buttered mix. With my health conscious locked away for the weekend, there was some good food to be had. Plus, the views of the city, great weather, public transport and fantastic friends all add to the great Chicago taste.

I suppose I should also credit Southwest for a good trip as well. Infact, Southwest exceeded my expectations with the complimentary peanuts and drinks. I didn’t know those were still included as part of the flights? Props to Southwest. Plus, there is the whole Skymall experience… who doesn’t like making a wish list?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

While I am sure there are lots of celebrations taking place around the ‘burgh tonight - I managed to get my fill of celebration a little early this year.
Some friends and I decided (rather last minute) to take a trip up to Boston for a weekend long celebration. Ok, so perhaps it being spring break might have had an influence in the trip decision factors. Either way after an annoying layover in LaGuardia Airport we found ourselves in up nahth in Bawstin.
Since this was a rather crazy idea to start, we decided to create an audio diary of the trip -”This American Spring Break, 2008.” The audio diary is probably going to be just as entertaining as it is embarrassing for us. Once I sit down and import, edit, and spice up the entries I’ll put together a small package for the brave interested in our journey.
But to sum up my experience of the trip; Having never been to Boston before I found myself quite surprised with the city, especially the mass-transit system.
Also, due to the LaGuardia Airport experience expect another entry on the topic rather soon.
So after the eventful trip, St. Patrick’s Day feels rather lame today (just the good ‘ol work till 10:30.) However, my stomach and liver are thanking me for the low key evening. Plus, earlier today I got to meet up with an old friend which was pretty cool.
